Anglo Dominican Trade Council

The Anglo Dominican Trade Council is a business membership organisation which seeks to catalyse enhanced bilateral trade and investment relations between the UK and the Dominican Republic. It also aims to promote the Dominican Republic amongst the UK private sector and contribute to the overall improvement in the political relationship between the two countries.

To achieve this aim, the Council facilitates regular meetings with DR Ministers and senior officials visiting the UK. It organises trade missions and individual visits for businesses as well as other exchanges of delegations such as Parliamentary visits. Throughout the year it also organises seminars and conferences on themes relevant to the Dominican Republic and publishes a weekly bulletin on Dominican Republic affairs, DR Briefing, as part of a package of services to its broadly based membership.

The Anglo Dominican Trade Council works in close cooperation with its partner organisation the British Chamber of Commerce in the Dominican Republic and the Embassy of the Dominican Republic and others in London to increase interest in the opportunities available in the Dominican Republic on a day to day basis.

The Honorary President of the Council is HE Anibal De Castro, Ambassador for the Dominican Republic to the United Kingdom. The Chairman of the Council is Ruth Euling, De La Rue.
